narrative: Flight flew assigned route, weather was very bad, visibility was minimal, hooked up with flight of spads
but found nothing. 2nd flight we engaged 3 albs near roulers, one was forced down behind its lines by several of our
pilots, i witnessed a second one being shot up at which time he suffered structural failure and crashed, the third killed
one of the pilots in our flight, we engaged him but he managed to stay ahead and climb above us, we kept on him for at
least 7 or 8 minutes climbing up trying to catch him, eventually the pilot turned downward to fight, many of my squad put
shots into him eventually several of us force him down, he landed at the roulers base, we noted that this flight was from
jasta 27. end of report

Claims: Put a few bullets in #12
narrative: Took of with a large flight from base early. The mist made vision unbearable & flying conditions were not
the best. We patroled the north coast all the way around to Raul. No one saw a thing although we could easily have missed
someone in all the muck. We were all running low on fuel after a while & decided to return home. A few of us (including
myself) were have some engine problems. The 17's moody in the dampness. We all safely landed & waited to refuel.
A funny thing happened. While waiting on the field, ole #9 blew a rod or something and tore the whole wing off his
craft! We all laughed a bit, lucky no one got hurt! We flew a second patrol, lower this time over Raul. Three NME
contacts were sighted! We engaged them around 1500 feet I think. We had them outnumbered badly. I saw one of my friends
on #12's tail down low and went to assist. I had engaged him higher & lost track of him. He climbed as I was laying into
him one good burst! My 17 could not match his climb however & I stalled. When I again engaged him low, my mate had chewed
him up but good. I put maybe 10 more rounds in him and he opted to land his machine. I then commenced climbing to engage
the last German up high. I never caught him as my engine again had troubles. I returned to base a little shaken up after
my first fight, but all my limbs are still here. I will fly again.

Claims: Alb # 13 possible share to any that want part of it :-)
narrative: Large patrol over hun territory today. Most Belgian planes I've flown with in a long time, we were either
going to kick some arse or just make it easier for the huns to find us all :-).
First patrol we spotted nothing. Clouds were thicker than pea soup. We covered alot of ground, but didn't see any
huns up there with us. Second patrol we flew under the clouds hoping to spot some B/R. We got to Roulers and overflew
the base below. Didn't spot anything, someone claimed ea below but i think it was just a truck on the drome. We circled
the drome and came back on it from the south. Just west of the hun drome we spotted 2 huns co-alt with us. #4 signaled
the attack and we dove in.
I had trouble lining any of them up and just contented myself with keeping #4 in sight. I then noticed that most were
concentrating on #14 hun. At the same time #13 seemed to see me and was coming up fast. I kept turning to try and keep
him in view, but couldn't pick him up. Finally I just flew straight and dove down, hoping he'd hit me some and I could
get a fix on him. Once I had him locked up I rolled out and just then a couple of friends showed up and drove 13 off.
I got back around on him and splattered a few rounds at him two or three times. On the last burst I was following him
in a dive, I scored a few hits then suddenly his top wing folded and popped off. I watched him spin out of control and
auger it in.
I saw the rest of the flight force a couple of other huns down at Roulers, not sure if we lost any ourselves. We
headed back home after we managed to form back up.

narrative: Took off with Wehner and Colton to meet several other pilots to go hun hunting. The cloud cover was thick
and it was somewhat difficult keeping spads and N17 flying in close formation. At partial throttle the spad doesn't fly
very well. We met the rest of our group and proceeded to fly without any contact. After refueling I had engine trouble
when taking off. Took off again, and met Wehner. We flew over Roulers and saw a hun plane on the runway. Then saw gun
fire in the distance. Went to investigate. The fight was below us, except for hun #17 that was above the action.
Wehner and I went to give him trouble. We fought for a while. None of us appeared to be causing any damage. The
I heard 3 bullets hit and then a headshot. My melon was all over the cockpit. I need a bullet proof helmet.

Narrative: Started from home base at 2100. Hooked up with counter-parts as per mission orders. Then we all took a
nice leisurely flight through some pretty and rather interesting cloud formations for a while. I was just following
the leader. Later on we FINALLY managed to gang-rape a few Belgians in the sky. I know "#9" shot down a Hun. (#13
maybe?) We DID pursue #17 rather relentlessly before he made a VERY BALLSY nose-dive and somehow managed to land his
crate. Must applaud his skill on THAT lucky-arse manuever. I got some rounds in on him and also straffed the crate
that sat idly on the same field #17 landed at. That is all.

Claims: 8 unduplicated recon pics.
narrative: Again , had mechanical problems with this damn Strutter , might send it to training duty and use one of our
new RE8. Perhaps the stationary inline will prove more reliable.. But was able to make a fine flight in the second part
of the day. Pics had to be taken at lower than expected altitude due to cloud cover , so I was lucky not to be spotted by
German aircraft or shot by ground forces !
