narrative: I managed to excape ...we ran into a hord of huns above there AF and most of them had alt on us I got on a D3's 6 and emptied 1/2 my ammo into him not much effect then he dove , i then went back to find #10, and two jumped me from above I'd lock on the one filling me with lead and got him off my tail but then with out the "F" key i couldn't find the rest of the group, then two more came after me and i finally got alt on them , and with my rudder shot up i headed for Home .
When i got back to the AF there was am other pilot in at the field using #8 he kept droping right after entering the game , so that might add to the confusion in the sever logs .....

narrative: flight started in disorganized fashion leaving our drome with 2 pilots missing, went to rendevous point and formed up with esc 5, over roulers we spotted and attacked two german albs, during the fight 4 more albs showed up above us, i was fighting with what seemed to be two german scouts, almost immediately took some lower wing damage which made my plane sluggish, put some rounds into several german scouts and took rounds from others eventually taking more lower wing damage that put me into an irrecoverable stall, pancaked down behind german lines. end of report

narrative: I got a few shots into the Hun that took me out with a head on I think It was a B/W plane ... After I recovered I decided to glide home. I recovered about 3500 and started gliding homward ,,, When a nasty HUN # 18 saw me sneeking off,and decided he would claim Me and my HD1 and a prise..... I landed safly with no motor and It would not restart.... Hun # 18 Flamed our # 16 I saw the smoke and the severs credit to #18. I exited and went into obsever mode ,the a Hun didnt like it so I left the sever.... I am sneeking over tonight guys Save me

narrative: We met up with Esc 1 and headed over into Hun territory. I agreed to go low as bait but shortly after that I saw a group of EA all higher than me and at about equal alt with the rest of Esc 1 and 5. I couldn't climb to the fight but got some rounds off at EA # 6 as he came down past me. I decided not to follow him down as I saw a group of Huns headed my way and the rest well above me. I started for the mud and began making my way home.
I was almost there when I saw two EA that I guessed were B/RC. I followed them for awhile trying to catch them and finally got within firing range. I got a lot of shots off at #10 and some into #1 but with my poor marksmanship and the 17's peashooter I regret to report that I failed to bring either down. I was critically low on fuel and headed for home landing short of the base when my engine stalled. Luckily it was walking distance.

narrative: Took off with Dawson and Wehner. Met several other pilots and finally ran into several huns. We started to fight, then saw several more huns fly into the battle from the other direction. Just as I was getting positioned behind Hun #17, computer locked up. What timing. Took off again and capped our installations while looking for friendly planes. Heard sirens going off. Looked around and saw several dots in the distance. Dove for a base. Just as leveling off to land, started getting hammered with bullets from behind. Just as wheels hit the ground my tail fell off. Rolled on landing and died.

narrative: While on offensive patrol with flight, we encountered several EA at a higher altitude. Engagements began and while flying level in pursuit of EA, I lost my upper wing. Since I was flying level, I never lost control and using rudder I headed for home. On the way, I ran into another EA who set me on fire with one short burst. (I couldn't remember if it was legal to fly without upper wing in this war. The plane flew hands off, but I had to steer with rudder.)
[I had taken a couple of hits earlier, but had no damage sounds, nor did I have any visable damage. I had not over stressed the plane nor was I being shot at while this occured. I guess "things happen", but this is no longer any fun. I have been bettered by many a smarter or better Hun, and accept that humbly, but I can not accept this inability to fight at all. I appreciate your hard work on the DM, Uhlan, so don't take this personally :-). However, I'm tired of this over stated weakness of the N17, which is being modeled wrong any way. It is only the lower wing that has a problem and only after a prolonged dive- not higher G maneuvering. Regardless, I was at 1G level flight when this happened! I'm sorry if I sound like a sore loser, but my frustration with this has ruined the game for me.]

narrative: Very frustrating this time-please ignore last post.Numerous mechs occurred and I had a mixup which plane I was assigned- When I finally got the right plane my paint scheme was in its original British version.German bombers overflew the field when I was about to take off- some hangars were burning. Just got airborne when game was called and I had another mech.

Claims: 3 Recon targets
narrative: Mostly clear skies, good visibility
Took off from aero @9:15 PM and ran route in reverse as per orders. After climbing to XXXX meters spotted what looked to be allied hdg west toward allied lines. Tried to signal but plane, which apeared to be an HD1, was fighting engine trouble and finally began to lose altitude toward our lines.
Flew just south of Hun aero, hoping to find some friendly crates but no joy, at least no enemy aircraft! Did have a bit of flak explode around me but no damage. Flew towards first recc tgt, occasionally circling to get better view around me and under me. Recc'd two tgts then continued on towards third, as fuel and time were growing short I turned back and headed straight for aero after third tgt recc'd. Did not encounter single aircraft on way home. Landed safely and sent film in for development.

Claims: Drome 52 (8 hits but just fire)
narrative: Left field late due to schedule conflicts but proceded to target. Arrived over enemy drome with no contacts made and proceded to comence my run. The cross winds were horrible and from this alt I was less acurate with the release button. I was able to hit five small tent hangers on a field that the Huns must have errected in the night but there was no secondary explosions. I left 5 of the hangers burning and scored a direct hit on an observation tower that was directing the AA fire. I was pleased to see it burning. Returned home and rearmed and refueled. Left out again and over flew the target I had previously hit before (52) out of spite I dropped a single wing load and hit 3 more hangers square but couldn't bring them down. I was turning for my secondary target when I was hit in the left wing by a flak burst. It tore lose on of the guide wires, broke a wing strut and scared the hell out or Francious in the rear! Night was settling so I headed home.

Claims: 12 recon pics
narrative: After a couple of days training , myself and sweet pilot Helga finally take an RE8 for a long photo mission. This fresh RE8 is a joy compaired to the worn out rotary in that Strutter. This aerocraft is more stable and powerful. It was a clear day and quite cold at over 2500m.We had a fairly uneventful flight , except for some close flak bursts and fighting the unexpected chill. Was our longest recon flight yet!Crossing the front on the way back , we climbed high into the cold air , and developed some engine knocking.Proceeding in a shallow dive to our base ,the valve train clopping loudly and the engine loosing RPM.As we approached base , a cylinder or 2 stopped firing , and as we rolled to a stopped and shut the magneto , the engine seized completely ! The mechanic was upset , but realised his choice of oil was wrong, not anticipating the much colder air at altitude this day.Helga and I had much fun warming ourselves back up!
