narrative: Three of us took off under heavy cloud cover and headed south to pick up a couple of bombshells, our flight
leader said. Expecting some wonderful blonde ladies, I see bombers down below. Really must talk to doc about hearing.
One bomber left with us, two stayed on field due to some mechanical problem. J18 capped the bomber to his target and
watched as he terminated it. We returned to the rendezvous drome and picked up the remainder bombing flight. As J18
left and hit the mud, my plane started to spew oil. Looking down, I noticed an oil line had popped its gasket.
Embarrassed because it was my foot tapping on the floor boards to the 8-track version of ABBA's "dancing queen"
I returned to base. After about 5 minutes of listening to the lead mechanic curse and swear at my inconsideration,
I jumped in my plane, taxied down the runway and hit the cloudy sky. It wasn't until 2000 feet that I realized that
bastiche of a mechanic nicked my ABBA tape. I had every mind to turn around and straff the mech's hangar, but I was on
a tight schedule. Cruising at 4k, I spotted friendlies below me, nice to have the experience to pick them out. I really
have to learn to see the difference between friendlies and the baddies. I dropped down to 2500 and flew smartly into
formation (ok, so a slight embellishment...I flopped into formation). After a few circles of the bombers and me singing
at the top of my longs "Dancing Queen" (some songs just stick in your head, know what I mean???..No??.nevermind) we headed
east. At this point all of us were a bit concerned at the fuel consumption. I really think that my wing was more
concerned about how off key I was singing. We crossed the mud, and then landed. The day had it's moments, somewhere
else. But we made it back alive. Now if you will excuse me sir, I have to see a mechanic about a certain tape....

narrative: Flew with 2 other gentlemen during our flight which was in marginal flying condiditons. Thick fog covered
the ground and there was an extremely low cloud base which made our small flight invisible which was to our advantage.
We all made it back with no contact with the enemy force.

narrative: Took off with Pendragn and Spatz and patrolled out territory for early birds. Enroute home AA over
Wervicq attracted out attention and being slightly out of signal range, and seeing the flight drop below the clouds,
I decided to dip under the clouds and scan for the enemy plane somewhere near-by. He was much more near-by than I
thought because as I dropped from the cloud all I saw was PC10 and a big white 17. I cut the engine and rolled right
pulled up behind the Strutter as Pen and Spatz were already peppering it. I put a few rounds in but when he headed for
the deck I stayed high to cover. The Strutter landed at Wervicq drome and the pilot was lead off by the crew there.
We headed off to patrol a bit longer then landed at a refueling drome. In to the thick clouds again, we headed for
Ypres and hung around the area for a while. Heading back to base I was scanning to the south when I spotted a single
speck at co-alt. As I watched it, it became MANY specks, and soon the specks were
Belgian aircraft, no fewer than 8 of them! Pen went climbing away and I followed him until a burst of fire pierced my
fuel tank. I turned on my attacker and soon found myself looping with #4 in a new Hanriot HD1. I had to break off a
couple of time as mg burst riddled my plane. Despite my care, the Belgian fire had done it's work and the upper wing
folded and left the game. I fought the plane all the way down, but the already punctured fuel tank exploded on impact
and I was killed instantly. (server credited #9)

Claims: Strutter #17 shared w/#17
narrative: First sortee we ran across allied #17 and forced him to land at one of our bases under heavy fire.
I heard he was telling all after some heavy torture. Second sortee was over NME territory. Uhlan thought he might
have spotted something and lost sight of it. We followed back across the mud to our side. Pen and Uhlan flew a bit
away from me and I changed course to catch up. I saw that they had merged with a large number of other aircraft. I
assumed they were friendly because I had never seen that many enemy aircraft in one place before. The crackle of
gunfire let me know that that was not the case. One attacked me. I evaded and was trying to maneuver into firing
position when another began shooting me. Began to climb up when another hit me. I soon gave up and dove for the
ground and safety. I put my plane down in one piece with only a single bounce on the landing and ran for the woods.

Claims: Strutter #17 shared w/#14, SPAD #12
narrative: Sortie #1 : Found two seater and forced it down at our werivic aerodrome.
Curiously I killed the gunner(HEARD HIM SCREAM!??).
Sortie #2 looked uneventful as we were ordered to patrol the enemy side but cloud cover was thick...they only way we
found the two seater was from Werivic AA. So after a few minutes I decided to fly back to roulers and hunt 2 seaters
again. Before we got there, we quickly became the hunted. Ulhan spotted ### EA!! by the time i saw them, it was too
late and my flight of 3 was doomed. I climbed up and thankfully not many EA were above the cloud layer at 2000meters
...then a spad attacked me...then another spad. I got lucky and nailed the flyer in one spad but by that time my flight
was down and I had the attention of the belgian airforce..didn't bother counting planes. so i circle climbed over roulers
to 3000 meters but the n17s were catching me so I was forced to pounce one and very quickly it turned into a 3 v 1 so I
dove to my aero hoping someone would lose thier wings or better yet J18 would come along and kill their low to the ground
flight.
When i landed, i noticed the wreakage of a spad, serial numbers trashed, I put a claim on it anyway lol.

narrative: Took off from AF.. Not a person in site. I followed prescribed flight path. Saw nothing till last quarter
of flight. Saw flack bursts around St. Marguerte but was never able to get a visual on what ever it was. I then proceeded
with the second orders mission. It wasn't till after game was over and I was heading back across the lines that I saw a
plane streak by me underneath. I tried to turn but lost sight of it and never saw it again. After landing I learned that
the allies were now using a new plane called a SPAD. I figured the one I saw must have been one since it seemed very fast.
I'm sorry to hear we lost one of our new men today. I also heard that the NME scouts are now adopting different tactics
and are flying in big flights. Some thing to note.

Claims: 2 Bomb targets
narrative: Sortie 1:
This sortie started off a bit on the bad side. My CO and XO's plane meched and I was forced to go on a bombing run
alone. Keep in mind this is my first night in a Bomber. Arrived at the Target, leveled my plane at 1000, and destroyed
it on the first run. I was so proud considering this was my first ever bomb run.
Sortie 2:
After meeting up with my CO and XO we then went on to bomb more targets.. I had another bridge to take out so we went
in. I managed to totally destroy my assigned bridge, but unfortunately my XO was unable to get his down. I then lined up
and took it out.

narrative: Well, had first assignment as bomber. Have practiced in the past a few times, but seem to have lost touch
in a big way. Hit target several times, but couldn't see a span down. Actually was quite hostile in my plane by the end
of my flight. After leaving target area had an argument with rear gunner. And SHE wanted the telegraph line that was
rigged in the plane in a big way. She opened up the line and it somehow severed my lines for electricity to the motor.
All locked up and I got booted. That was the end of my night. Mad as H*LL though, gotta get back to the bombing range
(hehe).
Returned to base without ever meeting the enemy
