Nieuport 12s for Red Baron 3D The Nieuport 12 was a larger more powerful replacement for the Nieuport 10 2-seater reconnaissance aircraft. Long ago I saw a picture of a 12 and it was that little sketch that caught my interest in WWI aircraft. When RBII/3D came along, my first paint scheme was to fudge the N11 into an N12. When Anim8or came along my first modeling attempt was the Nieuport 12. well, here you have it. The Nieuport 12, to scale and as precise as RB and it's quicks will allow from the thickness of the wing to the span of the undercarriage. Like all WWI aircraft, there are variants, and the 12's no exception. Rather than pick one, I went for 2 basic versions; The standard N12 of course, and the Beardmore built N12 with fully cowled engine, finned rudder and different tailskid. Well, like most plans, this one changed. Seems the model I was altering into the Beardmore version about halfway through was basically an N12bis. So, you get 3 varients for the price of 2! So there'd be a version with a forward firing gun, I placed a wing mounted Lewis gun on the Beardmore version. The DTS/DML file are named so you can tell them apart. To use them you'll have to rename copies replacing the "N12xxx" with 0399 where 99 is the slot you want the plane to appear in. If you want the plane to appear in the Sopwith Strutter's place, rename the files 03208000.dts and 03209000.dml.
