Fokker E.III
One of the first truly effective fighter aircraft of World War I. The first aircraft to mount a synchronized machine gun, it wrought havoc on Allied observation planes in 1915 and early 1916 during the "Fokker Scourge." By spring and summer of 1916 it was outclassed by the Nieuport 10, 11, 17, DH2, and the FE8.
