Arguably, England's finest scout aircraft in the first world war. Once it was equipped with the 200 HP Wolsey-Viper engine it was very fast, with excellent climb and dive and adequate manueverability. This was the aircraft of choice for most of Englands highest scoring aces such as Bishop, Mannock, and McCudden.
